I thank god for giving me an opportunity to donate blood to my office colleague's relative who is undergoing bypass surgery.
I volunteered for the same as soon as the mail was in my inbox.
I found there were 6 more in queue.!!! Amazing and quick response!
I went to meet them at their hospital.
Before that our company had arranged a hearty meal.
Then we arrived at the hospital.
We were recieved by them and taken to the blood bank..
We filled up the forms and went into the donars room.
Initially i though that they were going to take around 600ml of blood.
But they took only 350 ml which was quite less.They call 350ml as one unit.
We were lying on the chair.
A nurse came in and started talking in Telugu which i could not comprehend....
Except that she had a needle and syringe in hand which was obvious ...
Then she pokked my hand by the needle which looked very big and frightening at first and then it was cool.
In 20 minutes job done..
I came out and again was greeted by the staff.
Boy ! I was given Frooty to drink.It was really refreshing and gave me a jump start..
That's how the event ended today.
It was good !
